About

The Australian Esports Clubs League gives a chance and access for players across wider Australia to get involved, by working with club venues to host regular and local esports competition.
Players who participate can earn points, prizes, develop their skills and advance their esports career as a local, regional or national champion!
The Australian Esports Clubs League is all about participating, building community, being social, meeting people and having fun whilst enjoying the perks of an active esports league!

Registrations close 8am AEDT Saturday, January 9th
Stage 1 commences 10am AEDT Saturday, January 9th
Stage 2 commences 10am AEDT Sunday, January 10th

This Tournament is online-only, all players will require their own consoles, game access, internet connection and any required online subscription.

Qualified players will receive an email with more details, if you believe you should have qualified but did not receive an email please reach out to the AEL staff in the AEL Clubs discord.

All competitors must be in the AEL Clubs Discord server.

Format

The tournament will be split into two stages.

Stage 1: All qualified players will play through a double elimination bracket with the top players making it through to the second stage.

Stage 2: The top players from stage 1 will join the pre-advanced players in the final bracket, to play off for the prize money.

4th: $275
5-6th: $175
7-8th: $125

The Games

The Australian Esports League is a fully licenced and accredited league by the gaming publishers, whose games feature in all AEL leagues. Ensuring best practice and longevity of the league for all affiliates.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is a fighting game featuring over 70 well-known characters. Players must use unique abilities to dodge and attack to try and knock each other out of an arena.

Ultimate is the 5th in the Super Smash Bros. series and includes every playable character from previous Super Smash Bros. games ranging from Nintendo’s mascots to characters from third-party franchises and several newcomers.

This tournament is not affiliated with or sponsored by Nintendo or its licensors.

Tekken 7

A fighting game developed with over 30 playable characters where players face off 1 on 1, using knowledge and skill to outplay their opponent.

Player’s must employ exceptional tactics and timing to best their opponents. Game play includes well time blocks, attacks and combos to secure a knock-out!
